Online Marketing Leader Lyris Declines Opportunity to Run Super Bowl Commercial in 2010 |
The power of email marketing combined with other online channels trumps ‘big bang’ approaches
EMERYVILLE, CA - January 28, 2010 - Despite the incredible growth in 2009 of its all-in-one email and online marketing solution Lyris HQ, online marketing expert Lyris Inc. has declined the opportunity to run a 60 second spot during this year’s Super Bowl televised broadcast. “Reaching such a large market with a ‘big bang’ approach does have its appeal,” said Blaine Mathieu, CMO at Lyris, “but we have decided to keep our marketing efforts focused on the most effective and measurable types of marketing, namely email marketing with help from social, mobile, and search.”
Learn the story behind this intelligent decision in this short video:
[Note: in case you haven’t already figured it out, this is part of a social media marketing campaign from Lyris - it is not an official media alert!]
