The year is 1994, and "electronic mail" is gaining traction. A group of software engineers in the San Francisco Bay area of California see an opportunity to help people more easily manage an unwieldy new medium. They start a company and call it Lyris.
As email matures and becomes the norm, other forms of digital communication emerge. Lyris creates new tools with the same purpose – to help people do sophisticated things in a simple way. The business continues to grow.
Today, complexity is routine. People communicate across all mediums – each with their own subset of social norms. And in parallel, our company has grown into a global business because we continue to care about how people connect.
