We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer/ Architect to join our team!
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features for an industry leading web analytics product
- Create specifications and design documents describing new features and bug fixes to existing features that are of sufficient detail to allow other engineers to implement them
- Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers working on this product
- In addition to design, be willing and able to deliver high-quality code on schedule
- Work with product management and engineering management to define the future direction of products
- Learn the current architecture of the product and be able to design a new, modular architecture using MVC that will be both extensible and expandable in terms of capacity and performance
- Understand customer problems and how they can be turned into solutions
- Must be an excellent communicator but also be self-motivated and self-disciplined
Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience of commercial software development, with at least 3 in a technical leadership or architectural role
- Recent experience in designing and programming in C++, C#, and Perl
- Experience with MySQL and Java a definite PLUS!
- Proficiency in object-oriented design
- Experience in Product Design and implementation of UI layer functionality
- Strong mathematical background and firm understanding of algorithms
- Commitment to good development practices, such as source control, bug tracking, writing specifications and documentation, code reviews, and unit testing
- Experience in the Web Analytics Space and/or PPC strongly desired
- Excellent knowledge of web technologies and API design
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Data Warehousing experience a strong plus
- BS/MS-CS/EE or equivalent experience required
- PHD a plus
