Lyris Expands Global Marketing Team

Additions Support Continued Growth and Strong Customer Demand for Lyris HQ

EMERYVILLE, CA – November 10, 2008 – Lyris, Inc., the online marketing expert, today announced new hires to the company’s global marketing team. Seasoned in all areas of B2B and B2C marketing, new members of the team include Andrea Scarnecchia, vice president of marketing and Erick Mott, communications director. The expanded marketing team will help support continued company growth and momentum, as well as strong customer demand for Lyris HQ, the company’s integrated online marketing suite.

Scarnecchia joins the executive management team with more than 17 years of experience in marketing and strategy. Prior to joining Lyris, she managed advertising, email marketing, online marketing, direct marketing, product marketing, brand development and strategy for a diverse range of businesses at companies including Syndero (an online marketing start-up), SunBeam, Mattel Interactive, Disney Interactive, Sega of America, Supercuts and The Clorox Company.  Scarnecchia brings to Lyris a successful track record of utilizing analytics and data to improve marketing efficiency and deliver better ROI.

Mott brings more than 15 years experience from enterprise, SMB, agency and start-up marketing and communications roles, most recently as director of marketing and corporate communications at Habeas, an email reputation management and deliverability services company. In this role, Mott became known as a trusted voice in the industry, and an advocate for sharing insight and best practices. Mott helped Habeas grow revenues and evolve with brand strategy, messaging, search, email marketing, thought leadership, public relations, lead generation and Web 2.0 programs. He has also led marketing, communications and online community initiatives for Nokia, MarkMonitor, GlobalFluency, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, Philips Electronics and two of his own start-ups.

In addition to Scarnecchia and Mott, Lyris recently rounded out its marketing leadership team by bringing on board Cathi O’Sullivan, director of marketing programs and Paul Boscacci, director of creative services.

With more than 12 years of marketing and business development experience, O’Sullivan has a proven track record of developing revenue-generating marketing programs for businesses of all sizes. O’Sullivan is responsible for the strategy, execution and analysis of all demand and lead generation programs for Lyris.

Boscacci oversees Lyris' creative services group, Web site management, marketing campaign management and overall brand experience. He has more than 14 years of experience in providing effective writing, design and campaign management.
All four team members are based in Emeryville, CA.
