9/3/08 Security Advisory
Lyris recently became aware of a security vulnerability inherent within the Domain Name System (DNS) protocol, which impacts a wide range of software. In response to this issue, we have released the following version patches for Lyris ListManager: 10.0a, 9.3f, 9.2d, and 8.95f.
To protect your organization from this vulnerability, ListManager software customers must upgrade to a version that contains the security patch as instructed below.
Here are the available patched versions:
- 10.0 customers may download the 10.0a patch
- 9.3x customers may download the 9.3f patch
- 9.2x customers may download the 9.2d patch
- 8.95x customers may download the 8.95f patch
Note: If you are not on one of the versions listed above please contact your sales representative for upgrade instructions.
ListHosting / Sparklist customers servers have already been secured.

Rapidly changing technologies, competitive pressures and customer feedback continually drive demand for new releases of ListManager, and they also influence the level, timing and character of the new features and functionality we build.
In order to remain focused on innovation; we must dedicate fewer resources to older, less widely used versions of ListManager. For this reason, we have established an official Lyris ListManager Version-Support Policy.
The ListManager Version-Support Policy dictates when specific versions reach:
- End of Engineering (EOE) - The date when our engineering team will stop developing and quality assurance testing specific ListManager versions.
- End of Sales (EOS) – The date when our sales representatives stop selling specific ListManager version support renewals.
- End of Technical Support (EOTS) – The date when our technical support representatives stop accepting calls or answering technical support requests regarding specific ListManager versions.
