Solar Data Centers Adds Email Tool

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) - 13 April 2004 - Web hosting provider Solar Data Centers (SDC) announced on Tuesday that it has added Lyris ListManager 7.8 to its service portfolio.

This addition will allow customers of Solar Data Centers (solardatacenters.com), which operates a data center powered solely with solar energy, to send newsletters, press releases and action alerts to thousands of recipients while building and managing large-scale contact databases.

"The addition of Lyris 7.8 Pro is the first step by SDC in a series of initiatives that we plan to undertake throughout this year to provide customers with best-in-class Internet technology, allowing them to focus their time on running their business," said Steve May, president and founder of Solar Data Centers.

Other ListManager features include the ability to send more than 500,000 unique messages per hour, spam protection and a message format flexibility that allows ListManager to send HTML/AOL/MIME messages, attachments and international characters.

The service will run on Windows 2000/XP/2003 Server, Linux and Solaris SPARC
