Lyris ListManager 4.0 Released
Version
4.0 loaded with new benefits, plus compatibility with
Linux
Berkeley, CA - 18 July 2000 - Lyris Technologies,
a leading developer and ASP of email management software
and services, announced today the release of Lyris ListManager
4.0. Version 4.0 is a major upgrade to the company's
globally successful list management application, and
is designed for business activities such as electronic
direct marketing, e-publishing, and online discussion
groups.
Lyris ListManager 4.0 is a hassle-free solution for
fast, reliable outbound email messaging. New benefits
include powerful reporting tools for the evaluation
of mailing list performance and membership activity,
and the ability to automate the synchronization of mailing
lists with external customer databases. Compatible platforms
are UNIX, Windows and, for the first time, Linux.
ListManager 4.0 also offers a third-generation mail
engine that scales from 10,000 to 500,000 unique emails
per hour. "Lyris ListManager is far superior to any
other list management software program currently on
the market, and our new Extreme license outperforms
even the other ListManager licenses," said Jen Fletcher,
Managing Editor of The Learning Kingdom, Inc. "Extreme
sends our entire mailing list in 1/8 of the time it
took our Platinum Plus version, and peaks at three times
the speed."
"This generation of Lyris ListManager incorporates
an entirely new architecture that's even more scalable
than before," said John Buckman, CEO and founder of
Lyris Technologies. "Version 4.0 also enables message
customization and email advertising by fetching content
off the web, while retaining all of the enterprise-level
advantages that have set ListManager apart for years."
As highlighted in the April 17, 2000 issue of Forbes
Magazine, Lyris ListManager's advantages include automatic
error-handling, which significantly reduces the workload
of list administrators, and permission-based subscribe
and unsubscribe features, which differentiate Lyris-generated
email from highly undesirable "junk" email. Current
Lyris Technologies customers noted in the Forbes article
include Novell (Nasdaq: NOVL) and Southwest Airlines
(NYSE: LUV).
Lyris ListManager 4.0 is available both as software
and outsourcing. The administrator and user web interface
is offered in English, Danish, French, German, Hungarian,
Italian and Japanese, and other languages are planned
for the coming year. Comprehensive information is located
at http://www.lyris.com.
