NetCreations®' PostMasterDirect® and Lyris align to stop spam

New York City, NY - 11 November 2002 - NetCreations, Inc., the leading provider of 100% Opt-In® email marketing services, and Lyris Technologies, a leading developer of email management and spam blocking software, today announced their plan to help the list members of NetCreations' PostMasterDirect service protect themselves from spam.

Under the arrangement, PostMasterDirect customers would receive a special discount on Lyris's MailShield Desktop anti-spam software. "For years PostMasterDirect has helped millions of people receive only those email offers that they are interested in. Now we will also help them get rid of the ones they aren't," said NetCreations' President Michael Mayor.

PostMasterDirect will promote the software when users sign up for selected PostMasterDirect lists, as well as in special mailings. As part of the arrangement, email from PostMasterDirect will automatically be allowed through MailShield Desktop's anti-spam filters. The $60 Windows-compatible product features a highly accurate, fuzzy logic scanner to detect unsolicited mail.
