Well, I gave myself a challenge: design a visually engaging HTML email without using a single image. It's an extreme solution to the problem of blocked images, but one that is well worth investigating.

Why Suppress 'Role Account' Email Addresses?

Question: I was notified that I couldn't use certain email addresses on my mailing list because they are "role accounts." What are those?
Answer: Unlike a personal email account, with an address such as "JaneDoe@XYZ.com," a role account has a specific function within an organization and is intended only to receive messages related to that function. For example, "abuse@XYZ.com" is the email address a company uses to receive email abuse reports. Many email service providers, including Lyris, will suppress role addresses from their customers' mailing lists to prevent email from being sent to those addresses.
