Pricing Information for Marketing Packages

We offer three different ListHosting Marketing packages to choose from, based on message volume and data storage size.

Special Features and Options

Custom Domains

The email lists we host typically use a Lyris domain, such as @lyris.net. The "Custom Domain" allows you to select your prefered domain name, for example: @news.yourcompany.com.

Custom Domains are included with all Marketing packages. Extra Custom Domains are available for $100 per month each. There is a $50 set-up fee for this option, which we'll waive if you purchase the Custom Domain when you first open your account.

Test Lists (Marketing Plus package only)

Test lists for the Marketing Plus package have a maximum membership of five (5) people. They are designed to help you evaluate message formatting before mailing to your actual email list. Note that test messages are included in your monthly message total.

Add-on Lists (Marketing Plus package only)

Add-on lists for the Marketing Plus package cost $100 per month. They do not include extra messages, but instead use part the total message volume of those packages. There is also a $50 set-up fee per list for this option, which we'll waive if you purchase the extra list(s) when you first open your account.

Contracts

All packages have a six (6) month minimum contract.

Minimum Monthly Fees

You are responsible for your minimum monthly fees each month. By purchasing a Lyris ListHosting package, you agree to pay the minimum monthly fee even if you have no mailing activity during a particular month.

Message Volume: Size and Quantity

In Lyris terms, message volume is a factor of both the actual number of messages you send, and the average size (in kb) of those messages over a one-month period. The package prices above include a specified number of messages and assume a monthly average message size of 20kb. Please note: if your total message volume exceeds this amount during a particular month — either due to message quantity or size, or both — your total bill for that month will be higher than the package amount.

If your monthly message volume exceeds the amount included in your package, you will be charged for the extra mail at the effective "cost per thousand" (CPM) of your package. These rates are noted per package as the "Overage CPM" in the table above.

Rates for messages averaging more than 20kb follow a sliding scale based on the effective CPM rates in calculated increments. For example, messages with an average monthly size of 40kb sent with a Marketing Pro package are charged at $8 per thousand; if the monthly size were 50kb, the charge would be $10 per thousand.
