MailEngine 2.2
MailEngine 2.2 is much faster than previous versions, and runs on several additional platforms. Additional enhancements include:
- Faster mail queueing: Several new configuration options enable you to tweak your MailEngine server for higher performance. You can adjust the maximum number of messages to hold in cache; the max number of seconds to keep non-active messages in cache; and the max number of message ids to cache from the retry directory. MailEngine 2.2 will also limit the queue of active recipients for a domain or MX host to the requested overqueue amount, as well as cache inactive recipients for overqueued domains.
- Failsafe unsubscribe: In addition to saving a list of recipients who have requested to be unsubscribed, MailEngine 2.2 automatically removes these recipients from future mailings.
- More extensive reporting: MailEngine 2.2 displays detailed counts of messages and recipients for enhanced auditing.
- New platforms: MailEngine now runs on Windows 2003 Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 and 3.0. It also runs on previously supported platforms Windows 2000 and XP, Red Hat Linux 9, and Solaris Sparc 8. It has also been reported to work with Debian 3.0.
