Of course we’re all here at ad:tech to further our marketing knowledge.  But let’s be honest, the freebies sure help.  I’m not just talking about pens here.  Who can possibly say no to Rice Krispies Treats, cookies, cotton candy or blueberry pies served with espresso or beer?  How about a deck of very useful marketing tips cards that you never know when they'll come in handy at parties?

To top it off, we had a drawing for a free MacBook which generated much enthusiasm.  With all the competitive screaming and yelling, I thought we were at a wrestling match.  As all eyes set on me while I read the winner’s name, I felt so popular - this sure beats prom!

By the way, congratulations to Alden Westenhaver, CEO of Alden Media Inc., who was the lucky winner of the MacBook at the Lyris HQ booth yesterday.
