In my SPAM box, I receive regular emails from my former cable TV provider featuring the latest promotions, On-Demand programming, etc.  Well, considering I moved four months ago and I've cancelled my service with them, it’s amazing how they just won’t give up on me!

When I tried unsubscribing from their mailing list, guess what I had to provide to opt-out?  My account number that I no longer have.  Needless to say, their retention mailing arrived at my new apartment before I even moved in.  If I ever join the witness protection program, I bet my cable provider (and my alma mater!) will find me long before the mafia does.
