Lyris Appoints Barron Cox Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Human Resources

Emeryville, Calif., July 13, 2011 — Lyris, Inc. (OTCBB: LYRI.OB), the global digital marketing expert, today announced that Barron Cox has assumed the role of vice president of global talent strategy and human resources. In this new role, Cox has responsibility for all aspects of Lyris' global human resources organization, overseeing talent retention and acquisition for the company. He reports to Wolfgang Maasberg, chief executive officer for Lyris.

Cox brings more than 30 years of experience in high tech, government and biopharmaceutical organizations. Prior to joining Lyris, he spent nearly nine years at Cisco Systems in various leadership roles, including services business development and global services human resources.  Prior to Cisco, Cox’ extensive career includes human resources experience and management roles at Wang Labs,  Digital Equipment, Apple Computer and Scios.

Cox holds a bachelor of science degree from Northeastern University and a master’s in Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
