Lyris Mourns Keith Taylor, Chief Financial Officer

Emeryville, Calif., September 20, 2011 – Lyris, Inc. (OTCBB: LYRI.OB), is deeply saddened by the sudden death of Keith Taylor, chief financial officer, who lost his life in a traffic accident on Monday.

“We are all shocked and saddened by the loss of our trusted friend and colleague. Our thoughts and condolences are with Keith’s family and friends during this difficult time,” said Wolfgang Maasberg, chief executive officer for Lyris.

Keith joined Lyris in February of 2011 and oversaw all financial, human resources and IT activities for the company. His commitment to employees and his philosophy of investing in people to grow business earned him respect and admiration as a leader and CFO.

Wolfgang Maasberg will assume chief financial officer responsibilities on an interim basis.
